A crafter and mega parent's update and view of what's new, what's old, and are you kidding me experiences.
To go or not to go

A labor of love is why crafter's do what they do. Preparations are made well in advance, along with the products to sell. Anticipation and excitement about all the possibilities of a "great" day.  And in even the daily forecast every day for a week predicting rain and a horrible weekend, a crafter has hope.

Languishing back and forth for hours, even getting up at 5:30 am in the morning on a Saturday no less, I had to come to the conclusion it would not be a worthwhile venture to step out in the wake of a tropical storm to set up shop.  The only comforts I had was seeing 30 minutes into the craft show was a rain band of yellows, oranges, and reds passing through and how miserable it was just to go to the post office. At the same time I hoped those who did go were safe and productive for their efforts.

My hope is that next weekend will be better.... and that the people I would have met this weekend will find me at the next show. For a crafter not going to work is different than those who work 9 to 5 ...we actually miss going to work .

Looking forward to sunnier days ahead !
